About Me

If you are looking for a trustworthy Landscape Designer, you have come to the right place. I have over 20 years of experience in the landscape and horticulture industry. I hold degrees in Horticulture and Forestry from Sir Sandford Fleming College in Lindsay and Humber College in Toronto.

My field experience was honed working at Kobes Nurseries in Bowmanville, which is one of the largest tree and plant nurseries in the Greater Toronto Area. I have also held project management positions for large Toronto Landscape firms where I would manage medium to large municipal and residential landscape projects.

The inspiration for Little Schoolhouse Garden Design came from my family finding our dream home north of Kingston. We currently reside in an old (circa. 1850) limestone school house which is surrounded by acres of perennial gardens comprised of over 70 species of plants.

I thoroughly enjoy working with my clients and listening to their needs. Transforming ideas into living gardens is a passion of mine. When you hire Little Schoolhouse Garden Design, that's exactly what you get - my personal attention, one on one service, and that special touch!

In my spare time, I enjoy playing soccer and ultimate frisbee.  My husband and I are avid canoe-campers that travel to Algonquin Park often. We also have 2 beautiful dogs named Abbey and Piper who we love to go for hikes with. I also spend most of my free time on my personal gardens which I love showing off. If you would ever like to see them, or get some ideas or inspiration, I wold love to show you.

I look forward to speaking with you further. Please do not hesitate to contact me to discuss a future project or consultation.  Your in good hands with Little Schoolhouse Design.
